CURRUPTION WAR UNDER PRESIDENT GOODLUCK

The presidency has come under attack of recent with allegation of over looking corruption and corrupt persons in the nation. These allegations are based on the slow or suppose delay in the immediate prosecution of fingered corrupt persons under the watch of the presidency. But a critical look the corruption fighting approach of Dr. Goodluck, shows that this is the man Nigeria has been praying and waiting for.

Previous administrations in a bid to end corruption in Nigeria had lunched attack on selective corrupt personalities in the country. When these selective corrupt people were stripped of their positions myopic Nigerians celebrate and return to their homes while other people are appointed or giving the positions of those indicted of corruption, who continue the corrupt practice from where their predecessors stop. These new appointed persons may not be corrupt, but the opportunity of corruption their new post present turn them to being corrupt. The war waged by our former leaders was like cutting a branch from a tree and watching the tree shoot out seven more branches in anger to compensate for the lost branch. This has made Nigerians to lose hope of ever winning the war against corruption. Many are eager to tell you that everyone is corrupt. But I want to announce to Nigerians from my one room apartment, that the beautiful one that will kill corruption in Nigeria has been born in president Goodluck, Ebele Jonathan (GCFON). Please clean your tears and weep no more.

Unlike our former presidents, Dr. Goodluck is taking another approach on the fight against corruption. It is said that only a mad man will do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result. Mr. President is not a mad man that is the reason he has taken a different approach on the war against corruption. Instead of attacking the branches of this monster called corruption, he is busy tirelessly hacking at the root of this monster; corruption. Having taken an in-depth look at this man’s method of fighting corruption, I can confidently tell you this is the Moses we all have been praying for. Mr. President understand the timeless truth, “opportunity makes the thief” credited to the Godfather.

No one wants to be term a thief, but if the opportunities to robber present itself with an escape or if the bounty is what the stigma, one can take the chance in a morally sane society not to talk of a society where morality has been thrown to the dogs in the pursuit of money. Dr. Goodluck is not after the robber but the robbery. He wants to block all the corruption opportunities in Nigeria. With the close down of the paths and access route Nigerians use in defrauding this nation, corruption will be a by word.

Dr.Jonathan is not after the people fingered as corrupt, infact he is using these corrupt people to trace corruption to its root. The president is after corruption itself. Let me refresh your memory a little. The most unpalatable gift was handed to us as a New Year present from the president; FUEL SUBSIDY REMOVAL. Most of us have forgotten about it, how gullible can Nigerians be? Subsidy which generated a lot of fuss in the country should not be easily forgotten. Subsidy removal gave a lot of insight into; how ignorant Nigerians are, the people behind corruption in Nigeria and those sabotaging the progress of this nation. Let me ask you; was subsidy removal a blessing or cause? Before you answer, please answer these questions below first.

Have the removal of subsidy affected Nigerians negatively?

Did our former presidents know about subsidy and the corruption going on there?

Why didn’t they stop subsidy as a fight against corrupt or were they beneficiaries?

Why did some people stood against the removal of subsidy after the revelation of corruption going on through subsidy?

Why is it that Nigerian former and present leaders are after president goodluck?

Don’t base your answer on what you were told, take ten minute and think it through. Stop being an o yes member. See things as they are stop following the crowd, for the first stand for something.

What is most worrisome is with the eye popping amount of money our leaders spent on subsidy, the price of fuel was always rising why fuel was always scarce. Every xmas fuel was always scarce in the face of subsidy, now subsidy has been removed; fuel price has stabilized, fuel scarcity has disappeared.

Nigerians please tell me.

Whose regime is more corrupt, the previous regimes or the present regime?

Whose leadership is fighting corruption better, the former or the present?

Nigerians who is fooling who? enough of politics. What legacy will we leave for our children? We should stand up for the progress of our father land against mischievous politicians for posterity sake and be counted. It is time Nigerians begin to question the motives of our leaders rather than their actions. Understanding motive is the path to unmasking deception. Our leaders have deceived us enough with their masquerade acting performance. To unmask deception, you must answer the question; why?

                                                                                          ………..to be continue.
