The Transmission Company of Nigeria on Sunday in Abuja said the Shiroro
Power Station would be shut down for three days to rectify some faults in
the station.
In a statement issued by TCN's General Manager (Public Relations), Mrs
Seun Olagunju, it said the “unavoidable shutdown” would lead to a drop in
power supply to parts of the country.
“This is because Shiroro Power Plc has announced that its power station
will be shut down for three days, from Monday, Jan. 27 to Wednesday, Jan.
29th,” the statement said.
It added that the shutdown was to enable the station's engineers rectify
ground fault on the station's Carbon Dioxide Control Panel.
